Position Summary:

The Director of Intel Product Development and Data Science is a leadership role responsible for driving product strategy, innovation planning, and competitive intelligence in alignment with organizational goals. This position oversees product development and delivery while managing direct reports, including contractors, to ensure operational excellence and strategic execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Develop and maintain a clear and actionable product strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and market demands.
  • Create and manage a AI- based product roadmap, ensuring priorities and timelines are effectively communicated across teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and innovation within product offerings.

Innovation and Competitive Intelligence

  • Lead the creation of an innovation strategic plan that includes emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence analysis to identify market opportunities and threats, providing actionable insights to guide decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the team and organization, promoting creative problem-solving and forward-thinking solutions.

Product Development and Delivery

  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality delivery within agreed-upon timelines and budgets.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout product development.
  • Establish metrics to monitor and evaluate the success of product delivery, identifying areas for improvement.

Team Leadership and Management

  • Directly manage the Systems Architect Contractor and provide guidance to ensure successful execution of responsibilities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, emphasizing accountability and professional growth.
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members to support their development and optimize performance.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, data science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product development, operations, or strategy roles, with leadership experience.
  • Life science consulting experience preferred
  • Experience building a high performing culture and leading teams
  • Experience developing product roadmaps preferred
  • Proven track record of driving product strategy and innovation within a competitive market.
  • Experience in competitive intelligence analysis and applying insights for strategic planning.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering measurable results.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Expertise in product development lifecycle management, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Strong consultative skills and ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights and strategies.
  • Proficient in tools and platforms used for competitive intelligence, product management, and delivery tracking.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to client sites or off-site meetings
