This Position reports to:

Senior Vice President, Sales

Your role and responsibilities:

This senior leadership role is responsible for supporting account growth across North America's industrial drives and motors market. This position is designed for a commercially astute sales executive with the vision, relationships, and execution capabilities to deliver top-line growth and maximize customer impact.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership - Develop and execute segment-specific sales strategies aligned with ABB's market growth objectives. Translate macro trends and customer insights into actionable sales initiatives. Champion solution-oriented sales approaches that prioritize lifecycle value for end users.
  • Account & Opportunity Management - Lead engagement strategy and account planning for key users, EPCs, and OEMs. Prioritize high-impact opportunities and align internal stakeholders for execution. Own sales forecast accuracy and pipeline discipline via structured CRM utilization.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement - Cultivate trusted relationships across the customer ecosystem, from field engineers to C-suite executives. Participate in complex negotiations and project development discussions. Resolve issues with urgency and integrity, reinforcing ABB's value and reliability.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership - Partner with global functions, sister business units and regional teams to co-create winning commercial strategies. Ensure alignment between sales, product, engineering, and delivery teams to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications for the role:

Bachelor's Degree with minimum 12 years in industrial sales leadership, with demonstrated success in the motors and drives sectors. Deep understanding of North American industrial market dynamics, procurement processes, and project lifecycles. Master's Degree Preferred

  • Leadership Attributes - Integrative, hands-on leadership with a growth mindset. Skilled in strategic selling and developing complex value propositions. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead change initiatives. Empathetic leader, focused on building teams which are proactive and results driven.
  • Commercial Strengths - Strong track record of building and growing customer portfolios. Advanced CRM proficiency and a data-driven approach to sales management. Strong familiarity with digital technologies, including AI in sales and customer insights.
  • Personal Traits - Passionate about customer success and solving real-world industrial challenges. Resilient, proactive, and results focused. Willing and able to travel extensively (up to 40%) to build relationships and close deals.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $116,200 and $185,920 annually and is bonus eligible.
