POSITION/JOB TITLE: Human Resources Analyst (HRIS/Benefits focus

DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Manager, Total Rewards

POSITION SUMMARY: Maintain and update the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and configure and troubleshoot modules, particularly related to benefits administration. This includes partnering with IT for system upgrades, testing, implementation of new functionalities, and ensuring appropriate security settings. The analyst also serves as the technical point-of-contact and provides user support and training. Manage the benefits enrollment module and collaborate with Payroll and Finance for timely invoice processing. Support open enrollment activities, ACA reporting and other regulatory reporting requirements related to benefits. This position is hybrid with Monday and Friday as remote days, and three days in Lisle office.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Leads HRIS data management and reporting process, supporting audit requests, processing employee changes, reporting and employee self-service assistance.
  • Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Partner with IT for system upgrades, testing, implementation of new functionalities, and ensuring appropriate security settings.
  • Generate monthly employee demographic reports including new hire, termination, and employee count reports. Generate weekly reports and ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Manage the PTO company plans through ensuring all PTO accruals are accurate and up to date with employees/payroll and facilitate the annual PTO rollover process with partnership with Manager, Total Rewards.


  • Weekly review of the benefit vendor file feed discrepancy reports, analyze the errors, update HRIS data, work with the vendors or escalate to Manager, Total Rewards for further review and resolution.
  • Manage leave of absence report with weekly updates that show employees on leave, including location, benefit deductions, dates of leave, benefit payments made.
  • Review, reconcile and process benefits vendor invoices and maintain accurate internal records on payments.
  • Manage benefits billing with vendors - ensure the invoices are paid timely, send inquiries to AP or vendors and serve as a liaison if needed.
  • Support Manager, Total Rewards, during retirement plan audits, health and welfare plan audits by pulling requested samples from various sources and verifying the data before submission to the auditors.
  • Monthly creation and review ACA 1095 forms. Responsible for the year-end completion and filing of the ACA reporting.
  • Generate annual total rewards statement and compensation statement associated with the merit cycle.
  • Responsible system configuration for open enrollment and life events.
  • Run compensation and benefits reports as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED SKILLS:



  • Strong technical skills and analytical skills - ability to analyze, interpret and report on results of large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel (knowledge of pivots, IF, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, etc.)
  • HRIS system data management experience required (UKG and ADP preferred), including report building.
  • Possess strong organizational, project management, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be an independent self-starter, collaborative team player.
  • Ability to critically think and offer solutions to identified problems
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality are of the utmost importance.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / WORK EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field required. At least 5 years of experience in lieu of the degree will be considered.
  • 5+ HRIS data management required. Employee benefits administration experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting employee benefits and/or compensation administration preferred.


Base pay $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience.

Annual performance bonus target 10%
