Job Title: Contact Center Agent - Patient Services
Location: Owings Mills, Maryland Employment Type: (Full-Time/ Contract to hire) Experience Level: Intermediate Job Summary The Contact Center Agent is responsible for managing inbound and outbound communications across multiple channels, including phone, EMR portal, website, and other unified communication platforms. This role supports patients, provider practices, departments, and other services by handling requests related to appointments, prescription refills, preauthorizations, and referrals. The agent ensures accurate data entry and provides exceptional customer service while adhering to established protocols and guidelines. Key Responsibilities * Schedule patient appointments and complete registration processes. * Verify insurance coverage and eligibility. * Triage inbound and outbound calls related to marketing campaigns and service inquiries. * Accurately obtain and enter patient and service data into CRM and EMR systems. * Respond to patient and provider inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. * Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure continuity of care. * Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Required Skills * Strong customer service orientation. * Proficiency in patient scheduling and registration. * Experience with insurance verification processes. * Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. * Familiarity with CRM and EMR systems. Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED required. * 1-3 years of experience in a call center environment, preferably in healthcare. * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in a healthcare contact center. * Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare workflows. * Bilingual proficiency is a plus. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
