Job Description:


Summary
Responsible for individual and team development, and provides mentorship to Supervisors and TeamLeaders. Ensures quality performance, cost parameters, and service to customers (internal and external).Responsible for training, coaching and leading a team of individuals with varying levels of experience andeducation who execute manufacturing, distribution, and/or operations processes. Collaborates crossfunctionally to ensure successful production scheduling, inventory tracking, vendor information, andcustomer experience. Has broad influence on the organization both cross-shift and cross-functionally inhelping to manage the business and drive improved performance.

Essential Functions
This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrictthe tasks that may be assigned.
* Directly supervises and oversees the day-to-day operations of a group of employees to ensure asmooth workflow and that organizational production expectations are met.
* Develops team to solve own day-to-day operational issues and assists with troubleshooting whenneeded.
* Trains staff on how to properly use equipment and successfully execute work.
* Oversees the accurate and timely production, quality, and/or shipping of manufactured goods.
* Develops and modifies employee schedules and staffing plans to reduce labor costs whileensuring project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
* Guides the manufacturing/operations team in interpreting existing processes and policies, appliesthem to Team and individual objectives, and assists in the development of efficiencies or processimprovements.
* Responsible for managing team member performance, training and development.
* Partners with HR to address employee performance issues and progressive discipline practices.
* Motivates employees and creates an environment where team members can ask questions andshare concerns.
* Executes organizational directives and modifies individual and team goals to reflect suchdirectives.
* Organizes and facilitates team meetings.
* Travels to company sites, and/or meeting locations up to 5% of the time.
* Transports employees to work related appointments/meetings as needed.
* Works cross-functionally to lead projects and initiatives, troubleshoot and solve problems asneeded.
* In partnership with Operations leadership, leads the Annual Skills training planning.
* Analyzes employee productivity, processes, workflow, and recommends actions to improveefficiency and cost.
* Leads the implementation of changes meant to improve the organization's financial performanceand competitive positioning.
* Ensures a safe working environment and leads safety incident investigations; conducts root causeanalysis, documents incidents, reports findings to leadership, and makes recommendations forcorrective action and/or process changes.
* May perform lower level operations essential functions when critically necessary, qualified andtrained to do so.
* Leads the design of formal training programs and ensures the successful administration.
* Initiates and leads continuous improvement and lean projects and communicates project updatesto team members as needed.
* Ensures GMP.
* Collects data on team/department performance, tracks progress against goals, and proposesadjustments to policies and procedures as needed.
* Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
* Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality environmental and safetyregulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring theirunderstanding and compliance.

Supervisory Responsibilities
* Responsible for training and development of subordinate staff.
* Conducts performance evaluations; reviews and communicates salary adjustments; schedulesand approves overtime; takes disciplinary action, as necessary; addresses complaints andresolves issues.

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of Operations experience in Manufacturing, Logistics,Construction, Military, Agriculture, and/or leadership experience in a Operations experience in
Manufacturing, Logistics, Construction, Agricultural, and/or leadership experience in a customerservice environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 3years of G3 Operations experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High Schooldiploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of Operations experience inManufacturing, Logistics, Military, Construction, Agriculture, and/or leadership experience in acustomer service environment; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificateplus 7 years of G3 production, operations or logistics experience.
* 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience leading a team of direct reports withdemonstrated team building, leadership and mentoring skills.
* Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Requiredto obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
* Skilled with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
* Required to work an off-shift (swing or graveyard), when necessary.
* Required to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
* Experience using a Production Management System &/or Warehouse Management System.

Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of Operations experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Military,Construction, and/or Agriculture experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR HighSchool diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 10 years of Operations experience inManufacturing, Logistics, Military, Construction, and/or Agriculture experience reflectingincreasing levels of responsibility.
* Experience managing Quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
* Supervisory experience leading and developing high potential direct reports.
* Experience using technical skills to troubleshoot issues and understand requirements
* Decision-making skills.
* Experience applying LEAN methodology.
* Ability to foster teamwork.

Compensation

Hiring Salary Range: $83,200 - $104,000

Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
