The base salary range for a Dental Network Data Analyst is $55,000 to $88,000. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and company tenure & equity. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for a annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.

Dental Network Data Analyst Overview

The Dental Network Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting sales through providing provider network disruption reports, GeoAccess reports, and overall network comparisons and analysis. This position supports the strategic and operational goals of the Dental Network team. The Dental Network Data Analyst position is responsible for running network disruption reports, pulling in utilization data received from potential customers, and utilizing tools such as Quest and Network360 to analyze potential disruption for future clients by comparing the incumbent and offered dental networks. This position analyzes provider network data, in support of sales and enforce customers, generates actionable insights and summaries to support an understanding of network access for current and potential future customers. The analyst will collaborate closely with Sales, Underwriting, Network Managers, Provider Relations, Actuarial, and Product Development to support data-driven decision-making.

Essential Duties:



  • Generate geo-access reports using tools like Quest to evaluate provider accessibility and identify network gaps
  • Generate disruption reporting using tools such as Quest and Network360 to evaluate potential network disruption and access and identify key prospects for recruitment
  • Provide summaries and analysis for Sales and Underwriting to show key takeaways from the reporting, in a format that may be shared with brokers or customers
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using network data to track network growth, network adequacy, and growth patterns
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track and analyze disruption report requests and GeoAccess report requests, by network, requestor, region, and other data elements as needed
  • Analyze in-network vs. out-of-network claims to assess cost impacts and identify opportunities for network optimization
  • Analyze, review, and extract network or provider related data for network reporting, and network mailings, in coordination and collaboration with the network recruitment team and compliance team as needed
  • Work with the provider network recruitment and dental product teams to review and analyze network adequacy for our Partner networks on at least a quarterly basis, summarizing findings and suggested action steps
  • Generate network data files for use in Network360 and Quest tools
  • Partner with dental network managers, network recruiters, and Sales and Underwriting teams to align network analytics to support business goals
  • Assist in preparing materials for strategic meetings and RFP responses, including network summaries and performance metrics
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and documentation for internal network reporting tools and processes
  • Support onboarding and education of new team members on network data tools and reporting standards
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Proficiency in Excel, data analysis and trending, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to address a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and maintain attention to detail within time constraints
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and create a final product with a consistent voice, look and feel
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment


Required Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, preferably in dental or provider network settings preferred
  • Or, equivalent military experience


Preferred Education and Experience:



  • Experience with data analysis tools and network disruption tools, such as Quest and Network360, preferred


Working Conditions (Physical Demands):



  • Some travel may be required
  • Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions
