DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
In this position, you will monitor and secure all buildings, grounds, fences, and vehicles by routine patrols and surveillance to ensure the safety and security of our campus. Duties include checking plant facilities, dispatching state vehicles, overseeing the distribution of keys and badges, and maintaining parking and traffic control. Additionally, you will support program functions by maintaining logs, participating in searches, assisting in cottage emergencies, and transporting youth to ensure the safety and security of our grounds. You will also operate the switchboard and monitor radio calls to ensure the smooth functioning of our communication center operations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Thursday - Monday, with Tuesday and Wednesday as regular days off. Hours may vary based on facility needs.
- Travel and overtime (both voluntary and mandatory) as needed
- May change based on operational needs.
- You must be willing to accept employment at Loysville Youth Development Center and commute to this location in Loysville, Perry County.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $37,660.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements:
- This position requires the possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.

Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
