The Role:

The Cash Reconciliation Supervisor is responsible for leading our bank reconciliation function and managing a team of staff accountants. This newly created position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of cash reporting across more than 300 bank accounts. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of bank reconciliation best practices, and thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:



  • Manage and oversee the monthly reconciliation of 300+ bank accounts to ensure accurate cash balances and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of three direct reports (staff accountants), including workload planning, performance management, and training.
  • Ensure all reconciliations are completed in accordance with internal policies and financial close deadlines.
  • Review and approve complex or high-risk reconciliations, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Identify root causes of unreconciled items and implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain standardized reconciliation templates, documentation, and procedures.
  • Partner with Treasury, AP/AR, and IT teams to resolve issues related to banking, cash application, and cash flow visibility.
  • Collaborate with auditors and support audit requests related to cash and reconciliations.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide regular reporting on reconciliation status, outstanding items, and team performance.



Competencies:



  • Experience with reconciliation automation or process transformation.
  • Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-bank environments.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong focus on cash and bank reconciliations.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume reconciliations with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with reconciliation tools or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, BlackLine, etc.)



Target Compensation:



  • $70,000- $76,000 Annual Salary
