Rutgers University's School of Health Professions (
SHP) invites applications for a full-time, 12month faculty position in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences (
CLS) Division of the Department of Clinical Laboratory and Medical Imaging Sciences (
CLMIS). The position is available as early as September 2025. The successful candidate will join a dynamic department committed to excellence and innovation in clinical laboratory science education, including graduate programs such as the Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (MSCLS) and the Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science (
DCLS). Interprofessional education and collaboration are actively promoted within the Department of
CLMIS and
SHP, providing a unique environment for faculty development and scholarly engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and teach graduate-level online courses in molecular diagnostics, clinical immunology, chemistry, and genetics.
- Advise and mentor graduate students.
- Participate in scholarly activities.
- Contribute service to the university, school, department, and broader professional community.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
Qualifications:
A doctoral degree is required:
- PhD, ScD, EdD, DCLS with experience and/or generalist/specialty certification in CLS/MLS, or
- MD with experience in clinical pathology/laboratory medicine may be considered
- Doctoral candidates who will be ABD at the time of appointment and have relevant clinical laboratory science experience
