Overview

Sentara Health is seeking a Manager, Revenue & Charge Integrity to lead a high-profile team responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the Charge Description Master (CDM) across Sentara hospitals and Sentara Physician Group, and for charge capture structures/methodologies in Epic. The manager ensures CDM items accurately reflect chargeable/billable services; initiates and coordinates code/charge changes (CPT/HCPCS); and partners closely with clinical areas, Patient Accounting, Provider Operations, and other internal stakeholders to drive quality, service, and financial accuracy. This role plans and executes post-implementation audits, builds and sustains training and quality programs, monitors regulatory changes, and leads complex revenue cycle projects. Success requires excellent communication, stakeholder management, project leadership, and the ability to influence across teams while meeting deadlines.

Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Master's Degree (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

No specific certification or licensure requirements
Preferred: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS); Registered Nurse (RN) a plus

Experience
  • 5+ years in Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster/Revenue Cycle with hands-on Epic charge capture/build experience

  • 5+ years experience with Epic EMR systems (build, testing, charge capture workflows)

  • 3+ years in healthcare operations with demonstrated team leadership (recruiting, mentoring, coaching, performance management)

  • Advanced knowledge of CPT/HCPCS and Medicare regulatory guidelines; proven success initiating and implementing code/charge changes and managing cross-functional communications

  • Demonstrated results in quality and compliance auditing, developing training materials and a Quality Audit Program, and partnering with Patient Accounting to address denials/billing errors promptly

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$92,248.00-$153,753.60. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
