Will work in collaboration to ensure research compliance and consistency across all entities. Will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and practices designed to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and policies, as well as for monitoring the day-to-day compliance activities of the entity.
Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Provide comprehensive regulatory guidance to the research community regarding the responsible conduct of research. -Assist in the development, implementation, review, and revision of research policies and procedures that will meet the goals and objectives of the research compliance programs. -Conduct focused training and education plans based on findings from risk assessments and audits, regulatory changes and enforcement activities, and new policies and procedures. -Conduct risk assessments of various research functions at the entity, with particular attention on grants management, time and effort reporting, allocation of charges, financial support reporting, and clinical trials billing. -Monitor entity research policies and procedures in identified high compliance risk areas. -Investigate reports related to noncompliance. -Report results of internal monitoring and external audits to the compliance committee.
