Job Description

Responsibilities:

This Director role is responsible for assisting with efficiently growing revenue and client relationships within the US Financial Institutional Sales function in the US Regional segment. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of Clients in the Western region, for both Visa and DPS processing Clients. This role will develop account plans and sales strategies to increase revenue from existing accounts and win new business. This Director will identify new revenue opportunities, manage current contractual obligations, and ensure their assigned Clients get access to the very best in Visa products and services. The Director, Account Executive portfolio will be comprised of approximately 5-8 Clients, the majority of which will be Top 125 issuers.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead Client conversations without management assistance

  • Participate and consult with Sales Leadership in Client deal renewals, including RFPs

  • Independently lead on-site and virtual Client visits with various Client stakeholders e.g., Business Reviews, Sales Pitches, Project Updates, etc.

  • Develop and execute customized account plans to increase sales volume, revenue, and market share

  • Create and expand existing relationships across assigned portfolio

  • Deliver on AANR Targets, based on portfolio of account

  • Analyze Client Performance, identifying areas of growth and potential risks

  • Monitor scorecard results to ensure accuracy of the data reported and identify potential gaps needing specific focus to achieve goals

  • Expand Clients' utilization of Visa value-added services e.g., consulting projects, analytics and reporting, innovation, marketing, new flows, and core payments

  • Manage sales pipeline and reporting within Microsoft Dynamics

  • Lead weekly team sales initiatives reporting to Visa Executive Management

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Significant functional and industry experience and expertise. Expected to be subject matter expert in multiple specific skills sets, business areas, or products.
  • Ability to develop, lead and close complex competitive sales efforts, with minimal management involvement
  • Basic understanding of financial indicators to measure business performance and an ability to summarize business and financial data in a useful manner for decision making
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
  • Exceptional customer service and advocacy experience and mindset
  • Ability to build trust with peers to gather an honest assessment of client appetite, competitive challenges and product deficiencies in order to quickly adjust sales targets and product approaches
  • Ability to synthesize and present information and recommendations in a concise and convincing way
  • Ability to effectively create presentations to all audiences up to the executive levels
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success and achievement
  • Ability to strategically lead internal and external resources and nurture cross functional relationships
  • Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism and with demonstrated trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI a plus
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 135,300 to 245,400 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
