Prototyping Lab Technician

Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a Prototyping Lab Technician to join our dynamic team focused on the development of temporary point-of-purchase (POP) displays. This hands-on role supports the physical realization of structural display concepts, working closely with designers and engineers to prototype retail solutions that meet client expectations and production feasibility.

This position will be based in our office in Cincinnati, OH, 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate prototypes of temporary POP displays using corrugated cardboard and other display materials.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment including cutting tables, flatbed printers, and hand tools.
• Interpret CAD drawings and collaborate with structural designers to build accurate prototypes.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure prototypes meet design intent and functional requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
• Assist with material inventory and usage tracking.
• Support iterative design processes by modifying prototypes based on feedback from design and client teams.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• Experience working with corrugated cardboard, foamcore board, sbs, and other temporary display substrates.
• Familiarity with Zund cutting tables and/or Roland flatbed printers is a strong plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
• Skilled in using hand tools, adhesives, and measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and fabrication techniques.

For Ohio based applicants: The U.S base salary range for this position is $45,000 to $65,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, education, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
