The Supervisor (M1) plays a vital role within DaVita's Learning & Development Center of Excellence (CoE) in Wisdom. This position is responsible for managing a team of instructional designers while also contributing as an advanced practitioner in the design and development of innovative learning solutions. The Supervisor sets tactical and operational goals for the team, ensures timely delivery of high-quality learning products, fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture, and coaches team members in their professional growth. This role partners closely with program owners, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to align team efforts with organizational priorities.

Our ideal hire will have a strong background in eLearning development tools (Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline)), graphic design in support of e-learning development (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop)), and instructional design/learning experience design for synchronous and asynchronous learning. They find fulfillment working in a fast-paced, agile environment and have demonstrated success working on project teams.

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To

  • Team Leadership - supervises a team of instructional designers, providing direction and handling of individual performance; sets tactical and operational goals for their team; directs & delegates work; manages progress and success within their team.
  • Learning Design & Development - Designs and develops advanced learning experiences (ILT, vILT, eLearning, scenario-based learning, simulations, AI-driven experiences, chatbots, video, etc.) that address complex capability gaps and align with business objectives; ensures solutions are scalable and aligned to CoE standards.
  • Project & Quality Management - scopes, assigns and delegates instructional design projects, including vendor projects; oversees multiple instructional design projects, maintaining timelines, quality benchmarks, resource alignment and risk mitigation; completes quality assurance processes; ensures consistent communication with stakeholders; possibly manages vendor relationships and projects.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation - stays ahead of learning technology trends and brings forward innovative approaches; evaluates learning solution effectiveness using data and recommends improvements; shares best practices and contributes to the growth of design capabilities across team; supports change adoption through clear communication, training, documentation and coaching.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of work experience in adult learning design & development.
  • Proficiency in portfolio management tools (ClickUp)
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools/software (Articulate 360, Camtasia)
  • Proficiency with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
  • Experience applying human-centered design and design thinking to develop training (instructor-led, self-study, web-based, virtual)
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading
  • Computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for teamwork.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving demands.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Advanced level with e-learning authoring tools/software (Articulate 360) and graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
  • Proficiency in a Learning Management System (e.g. Cornerstone on Demand)
  • Formal Instructional Design training and/or certifications

Travel and Time Requirements

  • Travel: 0-15%
  • Nights and weekend work is rare if any

The Salary Range for the role is $62,000.00-$91,000.00 per year.
