Job Description:

The Job

Supports the Information Technology Software and Services department in all strategic project technical delivery, oversight and governance. Ensures the proper implementation of the company's information processing systems and their enhancements. Helps business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency.

You Will

  • Provides technical project direction and oversight to FTE and consulting resources for large-scale project based work guiding onshore and offshore teams Ensures technical teams are contributing to our code library Monitors work to ensure outcomes are within budget and on time Performs code reviews and mentors junior developers Drives change, as needed Understands modern SOA, OO, and relational database concepts to effectively guide and employ different implementation techniques
  • Provides day to day support to the strategic projects team within IT Software and Services and serves as the backup resource to the Manager of Strategic Projects Facilitates team and customer meetings effectively
  • Provides technical direction for the full SDLC for strategic projects from definition phase through production implementation Represents IT as liaison to business related meetings, communicating status of projects
  • Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our customers Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
  • Reviews work of development team to ensure compliance with development standards for coding, testing and documentation Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices
  • Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions
  • Participates in the creation of and execution of technical development plans and revises with project management as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Keeps project manager well informed of status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience
  • Performs work under direct supervision
  • Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
