Ecoat Laboratory Technician

As the Ecoat Laboratory Quality Analyst is to assure production process control, product quality, and perform administrative functions for the Ecoat Lab for an 8-hour shift plus mandatory OT weekends as directed. Additionally, completion of special project work as well as development and maintenance of analytical and inline testing equipment to achieve autonomous quality control and Delaware roadmap initiatives are key responsibilities for this role.

Administration responsibilities include maintaining records, preparing and verifying shipping/receiving paperwork, CoA and lab results entry, and ensuring stock of supplies and equipment.

Other responsibilities include testing of raw materials to ensure in spec properties prior to receipt, testing of in process and finished goods samples via designated specs and methods, calibration/verification/maintenance of lab equipment, verification of process tank levels, and verification of accurate hose connections for bulk material transfers.

The incumbent serves as a team member to the Ecoat/Resin team to drive continuous improvement of all aspects of the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• All plant safety policies are followed.

• SOP's and testing procedures are followed.

• Samples are tested and results reported in a timely fashion

• Raw materials and finished goods that are out of specification are reported to production & supervision

• Stocks and orders laboratory supplies and equipment, as well as maintaining the laboratory, equipment, and facilities to assure a high-level housekeeping and safety standards.

• Maintains detailed records of tests and experiments and prepare written reports

• Participates as a team member to assure continuous improvement.

• Analytical equipment development and maintenance.

• Development and maintenance of GPC testing and reporting performance of cationic resins in Ecoat.

• Maintain Ecoat Lab in accordance with IATF standards and audits.

• Develop and maintain current inline testing to eliminate QC benchtop testing (SOP's, PM's, Data Models)

• Develop and maintain regression models for new/existing inline QC methods.

• Research and develop new inline testing initiatives to eliminate QC testing remaining on strategic roadmap.

• Special project work as directed to achieve future state roadmap goals

Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field required.

• 1-2 years of proven experience and ability to apply accurate laboratory methods

• Availability to work either lab rotation schedule (8 hour shifts or 12 hour continuous shift rotation)

• Ability to work additional overtime as determined by business need
