Position Highlights |
The College of Medicine Tucson is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the position of Research Technician I in the department of Pharmacology. The research technician role will assist in the experimental collection of data regarding pharmacological delivery to the central nervous system. Work will include the implementation of experimental protocols on brain tissue, molecular analysis of proteins, and compilation of data for future analysis. This position will require meticulous adherence to standard operating procedures to ensure reproducibility, safety and effective use of time. This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position. Duties & Responsibilities |
Experiment Prep:
- Perform bioanalytical experiments, including western blotting, immunofluorescence staining, and protein assays.
Experiment support:
- Prepare sample buffers and chemical solutions.
- Develop tissue samples for molecular, immunological and historical analysis.
Basic data organization:
- Compile data collected from experiences.

Minimum Qualifications |
- High School diploma or High School diploma equivalency.
- Prior work experience not required..

Preferred Qualifications |
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related field. |
