What you will do:

As a Senior Strategic Buyer, you'll be part of our diverse global team making a significant impact on our organization. You will strategically manage the selection of a defined list of 3rdparty category suppliers and partners used by Johnson Controls Sensormatic Solutions Business unit. You are responsible for advanced procurement activities and leading cross-functional teams instrategic planning, analysis and execution of consolidated purchase agreements that require evaluation of leading-edge technology. Integrate supplier base with BOS procedures and negotiate agreements to leverage their capabilities and volume while ensuring compliance with overall JCI objectives and strategies.

How you will do it:

  • Coordination of Program Procurement activities to develop strategies and lead cross-functional business teams through a high level understanding of technology, value added engineering, industry, and market conditions.

  • Implement strategies and actions to achieve FY (Fiscal Year) cost reduction goals, including PO-to-PO (Purchasing Order) reductions and rebates.

  • Improve working capital through optimum payment terms.

  • Control and approval of all Program Procurement activities specified in PDP and decisions in line with customer demands and category strategies.

  • Ensure smooth product launches by controlling the acquisition, sourcing on time, in line with cost book and VSR targets, maintaining procurement results until start of production.

  • Guarantee financial, modular programs from phase 0-5 and over lifetime.

  • Ensure the cost, quality and time-oriented supply of all required goods, materials, equipment's and services under compliance with the respective business plans, budgets and targets.

  • Initiate and support of proper Make or Buy decisions with high focus on core vs non core.

  • Initiate and support VA / VE activities with focus on sku rationalization

  • Guarantee compliance with BOS, PDP and POS procedures.

  • Manage the Suppliers within the given programs (Request for Quotes RFQ, change management, contract negotiations, payment queries, dispute resolutions etc.).

  • Support implementing strategies and actions to reduce suppliers, in line with agreed targets.

  • Support implementation of Global Commodity strategies.

  • Support accurate and timely reporting of key measurables.

  • Implementation and continuous improvement of standardization activities.

  • Support and implement diversity strategies.

What we look for:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain.

  • 10+ years of Procurement and Materials Management job experience.

  • Category Management experience with proven results.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Capability to interface with senior leadership.

  • Self-starter with the drive to make an impact, work at pace, and make data-led decisions.

  • Has had Supervisory or management experience of Global cross functional teams.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing 'made to engineer' environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills are required to negotiate, develop and maintain relationships with internal customers and suppliers.

  • Highly motivated individual with a sense of urgency capable of handling multiple responsibilities.

  • Has had Supervisory or management experience of Global cross functional teams.

  • Advanced negotiation skills

  • Presentation Skills

  • Able to lead and manage remote Teams

  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, planning, administration and team building skills.

  • Requires advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use ERP business systems software.

  • Travel up to 5%, have a passport or ability to obtain one.

Preferred

  • Experience in Managing any of following categories a plus - Electronics, RFID Technology, Plastics and Video Portfolios.

  • Familiar with Retail Industry and Loss prevention technologies.

  • Multi-site experience

  • Has had supervisor or management positions.

  • Preferred ERP Experience with Oracle Fuzion Cloud.
