We're actively seeking a talented Senior Actuary to join our Enterprise ALM Hedging team based in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE. This role follows a hybrid schedule of four days in the office (on-site). If you are not currently located near one of our offices, you will be required to relocate.
As a Senior Actuary you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by leading hedge program feasibility efforts for insights into new hedge programs and enhancements to existing hedge programs. Moreover, you will serve as a key contributor by developing a comprehensive view of industry hedging practices. You will fill a role that sits on the Enterprise ALM Hedging team in the Pacific Life Investments division, while partnering with stakeholders throughout the company. How you'll help move us forward:
Own the evaluation of the feasibility and effectiveness of new hedge programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's risk management framework Design and conduct testing and analysis on new hedge programs, both rider and indexed, associated with new and existing products Partner with divisional Product Development teams on new product market risks and hedging mitigation analysis. Influence Product Development in their design through prioritizing and balancing hedge effectiveness and efficiency Analyze and recommend enhancements to current hedge programs based on industry research and stakeholder considerations Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing program performance, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing best practices in hedging strategies Conduct regular market analysis identifying hedging best practices and emerging trends from peer companies in the industry Assess the viability and effectiveness of common industry best hedging practices and drive enhancements to current hedge programs Own the model calibration, implementation and testing of Numerix and other exotic option valuation software
The experience you bring:
FSA designation required with 6+ years of actuarial experience preferable Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and intellectual rigor Proven track record of advancing projects and delivering actionable insights Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams Hands-on experience in hedging, with knowledge of both life and annuity products Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, finance, mathematics, or a related field

Base Pay Range: The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$163,620.00 - $199,980.00
