As a Heavy Equipment Welder, your primary responsibility is to perform various types of welding fabrication and repairs, disassembly and assembly of all types of equipment, and some light machine work.

Position requirements:

• Must own proper tools to perform necessary repairs
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Associates degree or certificate from technical school preferred
• Previous mechanic work or military experience
• Certified Welder with experience in welding fabrication, arc welding, metal inert gas welding, arc gouging, and use of oxyacetylene torch
• Experience reading blueprints, understanding of bend allowances
• Ability to follow fabrication procedures
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
  
• Ability to demonstrate technical, mechanical, and troubleshooting abilities to define and perform necessary repairs
  

Additional experience strongly preferred:

• Experience quoting jobs
• Ability to demonstrate technical, mechanical, and troubleshooting abilities to define and perform necessary repairs
• Technical experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors
  

Technician levels and compensation rates are determined by skill set, knowledge, and experience.
