POSITION TITLE: Research Assistant I- Clinical

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under minimal supervision, independently and in collaboration with others perform research and conduct a wide variety of standard laboratory procedures for projects including clinical and translational projects; analyze data and interpret results; investigate, troubleshoot, and modify methods and procedures as necessary; perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES:




  • Assist with patient screening, patient enrollment, collection and analysis of biospecimens, and data entry on the oral itra trial.

  • Work under general supervision. Assistance given for unusual problems and normally reviewed for application of sound professional judgement


  • Receive instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
  • May provide interpretation and initial analyses of results.
  • May provide assistance to ongoing clinical studies under supervision.
  • May involve handling of human tissues from patients and organ donors.


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained.
  • Requires 1-3 years experience. Candidates possessing a Master's degree, 0-2 years experience required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

COMPENSATION: The expected hiring range for this position is $23.31 to $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
