Summary of Job Duties:The Career Pathways Career Support Services Facilitator works under the supervision of the CPI Director.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Works cooperatively with the CPI staff, college administration, faculty, and staff in the performance of CPI assigned duties.

Responsible for planning and implementation of Student Orientation Sessions and acts as primary presenter.

Facilitates Career Readiness Certificate, or other employment training.

Conduct initial intake interview and examines documents submitted by potential CP students and explains the Responsibility Agreement, Employability Contract, and Individual Employment plan.

Maintains contact with students throughout the orientation and attainment process to ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation.

Keeps organized spreadsheets and notes of projected completers, past completers, and student employment for easier tracking and reporting.

Maintains student records and provides CPI Director with information for all required monthly reports.

Recruits clients who are college ready and promotes the Career Pathways program to potential applicants

Serves as a student case coordinator, including acting as the student support system contact while tracking student progress.

Maintains student records, documents employability training, and assists in the student gas, and childcare program.

Maintains student's employment records and all attainment start and completion dates on the UACCM CPI database as well as the state database with all appropriate notes for completers and non-completers.

Documents all employability training in their student folder; makes notes of each individual meeting; documents student's workshop attendance; and is responsible for completers' student folders after they graduate.

Assists students with the job search, resumes, cover letters, or any employment skills during their time in Career Pathways.

Specifically assists graduates during their last semester by providing them tools for their job search such as referrals to job search websites

Refers the student to campus services such as the Registrar, Counseling Services, and testing services.

Assist students with job placement into targeted categories and track students to report employment, their wages and length of time in the position.

Assists students with job placement before graduation.

Tracks students after graduation through means of email, phone, or social media in order to report their employment status and wages.

Coordinates with CPI staff and others in the delivery of employability skills, career, and personal growth workshops.

Assists the Director and other Career Pathways staff to identify students eligible for funded services and for admission to the Career Pathways program.

Maintains student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and school policy.

Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree general education/studies, business, or a related field

Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of the minimum qualifications upon approval of the Chancellor.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in college student personnel, educational administration, business administration, education, or a related field

  • Three years of experience working with low-income or high poverty risk families

  • Certified as a CDF or willingness to become certified in the first 12 months of employment

  • Able to problem solve, organize and prioritize work, multi-task, and be flexible and accepting of change.

  • Able to work effectively and cooperatively with people of various cultural backgrounds.

  • Able to lift and move objects that may weigh up to 25 lbs.

Salary Information:

$37,000 - $40,000; commensurate with education and experience
