What this job involves -

Manages end-to-end project delivery for critical facilities and data center infrastructure projects of moderate complexity. Takes ownership of project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring adherence to uptime requirements and industry standards. Coordinates cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver mission-critical infrastructure projects on time and within budget. Supports senior project managers on larger initiatives while independently managing smaller to mid-scale critical facilities projects.

What is your day to day?

  • Lead project management for critical facilities projects including power upgrades, cooling system installations, server room buildouts, and infrastructure modernization
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for data center and mission-critical facility projects
  • Manage project teams including MEP contractors, data center specialists, and vendor coordination
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide detailed progress reports to stakeholders and senior management
  • Ensure compliance with data center standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier requirements) and local building codes
  • Monitor and mitigate project risks, particularly those affecting facility uptime and operational continuity
  • Coordinate with facility operations teams to minimize disruption to critical systems during construction activities
  • Manage change orders and scope modifications while maintaining project profitability
  • Interface with clients to understand technical requirements and provide project updates
  • Oversee quality control processes and final commissioning of critical systems
  • Maintain project documentation including as-built drawings, warranties, and O&M manuals

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in critical facilities, data centers, or mission-critical infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related technical field
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects valued between $500K - $5M
  • Strong understanding of critical infrastructure systems including electrical distribution, UPS systems, cooling infrastructure, and monitoring systems
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
  • Experience with design review processes and technical drawing interpretation
  • Knowledge of data center design standards and best practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
  • Data center certifications (DCCA, CDCP, CompTIA Server+)
  • LEED AP or equivalent sustainability certification * Experience with hyperscale data centers, colocation facilities, or enterprise data centers
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management in live environments
  • Experience working with major cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft, Google) infrastructure requirements
  • Knowledge of critical facilities commissioning and testing procedures
  • Previous experience with JLL or similar CRE service provider

Estimated compensation for this position:

75,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
