*Job Description*
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead and deliver results for our client's utility projects. This role requires expertise in construction and engineering, overseeing large-scale projects spanning from the engineering design phase through to construction. Projects may include multiple construction scopes and are located throughout the northern third of Illinois. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle-from initiation and contract management to final delivery. Experience working with the electrical grid and familiarity with transmission operations are highly desirable. *Required Qualifications* 5 to 8 years of experience working with electrical grid concepts, including construction work ranging from overhead to underground systems. Solid understanding of engineering design principles. Proven ability to manage large-scale projects valued up to $5 million, demonstrating the technical bandwidth required for such budgets. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Double E preferred). Experience managing contractors and handling Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Forecasting experience for project planning and budgeting. Strong construction experience in utility companies highly preferred. PMP certification is highly valued but not mandatory. Candidates with experience limited to small-scale projects are not a fit for this role. *Key Skills* Project coordination and management Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Office 365, and M365 Suite Familiarity with Oracle Unifier Project Management Additional Skills & Qualifications Required: Proficient in reading electrical prints. Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley accounting and forecasting principles. *Preferred experience:* Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or project management. PMP certification is preferred Experience managing medium voltage utility projects (12kV - 69kV). Experience with real estate easements, zoning, and permitting processes. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
