Job Title: Project Manager - Mid Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale utility projects from the engineering design phase through to construction. This role requires expertise in construction and engineering, with a focus on projects scattered throughout the northern third of Illinois. The ideal candidate will manage multiple construction scopes and ensure successful project delivery from inception to completion. Responsibilities * Drive results in a utility project management role. * Oversee large-scale projects across various programs from engineering design phase to construction. * Manage multiple construction scopes throughout the northern third of Illinois. * Initiate and manage contracts related to projects. * Work with the electrical grid and be familiar with transmission operations. * Ensure successful project delivery from start to finish. Essential Skills * 5-8 years of experience working with electrical grids and construction projects. * Understanding of engineering design principles. * Experience managing large projects with budgets up to 5 million dollars. * Degree in electrical engineering. * Experience in managing contractors and handling RFPs. * Proficiency in forecasting and project management. * Strong construction background. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Proficient in reading electrical prints. * Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley accounting and forecasting principles. * Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or project management preferred. * PMP or CAPM certification preferred. * Experience managing medium voltage (12kV - 69KV) utility projects. * Real estate easement, zoning, and permitting experience. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and project management tools such as Oracle Unifier. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
