Receiving/Sourcing Inspector

Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Blacksburg, VA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• Work from complex drawings.
• Perform inspection and test procedures.
• Maintain receiving records/documentation and job files as required, to include creation and maintenance of job summary cards for inspection criteria.
• Process incoming material per Standard Procedures and Quality Assurance Procedures as needed.
• Assists in training/cross-training of others.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Process.
• Work with minimal supervision, i.e., able to establish priorities to meet deadlines.
• Initiate non-conforming documentation for parts not meeting requirements.
• With assistance from Quality Engineering and other stakeholders, establish and perform inspection plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Pay rate: $17.00-21.00/Hour
• Hours: 40 Hours/Week 1^st Shift
• Length: Temp (12 Months)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with in-line inspection, machine shop inspection
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Operating Computers, Word, Excel, and Data Entry
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using standard mechanical measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, digital indicators, various gauges, etc.)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience reading blueprints

• Proficient in using Connect/ERP/ETQ to collect data and maintain inspection criteria and information.
• Demonstrates ability to use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
• Demonstrates knowledge of documentation procedures related to manufacturing and quality of hardware.
• Ability to understand and interpret purchase orders and certification requirements, and supplier-provided data.
