Here's what you'd do: The CNC Machine Operator 1 is responsible for operating and maintaining machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role involves loading and unloading parts and performing the required checks, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. The Operator will work closely with the CNC Lead to interpret technical drawings and specifications to meet production goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned: Operate machine tools such as CNC routers and milling machines to produce primarily composite parts. Load and unload parts as instructed to perform precision machining operations. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications, using precision measuring instruments. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. Document production details and maintain accurate records of work performed. Report any changes to machine function or part finish to your supervisor. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and contribute to team efficiency. Job Requirements Here's what requirements you'll need: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum 1 year of experience as a machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Minimum 1 year of composites manufacturing experience. Minimum 1 year of experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Minimum 1 year of experience understanding of CNC machine operations and maintenance. Here's what sets you apart from other candidates that our clients prefer: Completion of a vocational training program in machining or a related field is preferred. Experience with composite materials and CNC machinery is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors. Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
