*Overview* Our client is seeking a highly skilled Transport Engineer to support large-scale wireless build initiatives, including spectrum upgrades, equipment swaps, and new site deployments. This role blends technical expertise with administrative precision, requiring coordination across internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of transport engineering tasks.
*Key Responsibilities* * Develop monthly interconnect implementation plans supporting macro, in-building, small cell, third-party, ODAS, SNAP, LS6, 5G, CRAN, VRAN, and MEC build targets. * Design and issue CIQs (IP/Port assignments), engineer new cells and trunks, manage cell and switch growth, and oversee circuit ordering and carrier additions. * Place circuit orders with Local Exchange Carriers for services such as dark fiber, EOS, EBH, and TLS. * Document transport circuits and paths. * Track and escalate order statuses to ensure timely completion. * Plan, design, and implement advanced transport technologies to support 5G rollout. * Attend project update meetings and present status reports. * Manage vendor relationships to meet network milestones and turn-up dates. * Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver optimal transport solutions. * Create and maintain trackers to enhance data integrity and workflow efficiency. * Align equipment growth projects with forecasted demand and organizational objectives. *Technical Scope* * Circuit delivery: ordering, initiation, lit service, TLS, CBAND uplifts. * Database management for segments and paths. * Performance and bandwidth analysis. * Router configuration and IP provisioning (IPv4/IPv6). *Top Skills* * Deep understanding of telecommunications transport workflows, especially network management systems for circuit inventory and provisioning. * 5+ years of experience coordinating internal and external teams for transport/circuit and equipment engineering deployments. * Familiarity with site prioritization, logistics, material delivery, and invoice/PO tracking. *Additional Qualifications* * Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and Docs. * Strong database management, project tracking, and logical reasoning skills. * Exceptional troubleshooting, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities. * Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply wireless engineering principles. * Self-motivated, independent, and highly organized. * Experience in cellular or telecommunications industries. * Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Strong decision-making and planning skills. *Desired Skills* * Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. * Experience with XNG/Granite circuit databases and ASR ordering systems. * Knowledge of interconnect circuit types (TLS, EMUX, Dark Fiber, EOS). * Familiarity with 4G/5G wireless architecture and 3GPP standards. * Project management experience. * Understanding of centralized RAN and urban interconnects. * Knowledge of wavelength division multiplexing and microwave backhaul technologies. * Strong grasp of IPv4/IPv6 addressing. *Employee Value Proposition* This is a long-term contract opportunity with competitive pay and hybrid flexibility. High-volume workload with strong team collaboration. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
