Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Coordinator for the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Supports development of primary data collection materials (e.g., survey questions, interview guide).
- Programs survey questions into REDCap, Qualtrics, or similar software.
- Assists with recruitment of participants (e.g., identify sampling frame, draft recruitment materials, send recruitment emails, track completed activities).
- Participates in qualitative research interviews as primary interviewer and/or notetaker.
- Downloads and organize responses from survey software.
- Supports development of analytic plans and other materials for data analysis (e.g., coding manual).
- Reviews and organizes documents related to data analysis tasks.
- Uses appropriate software (e.g., Stata, Qualtrics) conduct analysis of research data.
- Conducts literature reviews.
- Prepares drafts of literature reviews for peer-reviewed articles.
- Supports team in developing and submitting conference abstract submissions.
- Manages IRB submissions including initial submission, modifications, continuing reviews and completion reports.
- Collaborates with administrative staff on research-related orders (e.g., transcription services, gift cards).

Work Arrangement |
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Effective client service skills.
- Experience and familiarity with research regarding populations with mental illness and addiction.
- Ability to record and maintain data in computerized and non-computerized formats.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Completed or working toward completing a Master's degree program in public health, social work, sociology, psychology, or a related field.
- Ability to use survey software such as REDCap, and citation management software such as Zotero.
