Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Coordinator Building Services for the Eagleton Institute of Politics.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Oversees and manages the scheduling calendar for meetings, conferences, and special programs held at Wood Lawn by the Institute, its Centers, and Programs, as well as other University entities, and outside groups.
- Determines availability of Wood Lawn's six publicly used rooms.
- Ensures events run smoothly and efficiently, providing hands-on assistance as needed.
- Provides on-site inspections and maintenance of various building related equipment.
- Ensures the historic contents of Wood Lawn (i.e., antiques, artwork, china, fixtures, contents of safe) are properly maintained and accurately inventoried.
- Maintains the data hygiene of Eagleton's contacts and alums lists in the Civi Customer Relationship Management Database for communication campaigns.
- Works with the OIT Network Engineer to identify hardware to be surplused.
- Creates and submits surplus equipment lists.
- Schedules equipment removal coordinated with Material Services.
- Participates in Institute-wide and/or cross-team projects.

Work Arrangement |
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023. Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience demonstrating knowledge of event coordination.

Physical Demands and Work Environment |
- Eagleton offices are located within a historic building with no elevator. The duties of this position regularly involve navigating stairs numerous times a day.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
