Rutgers School of Nursing-Camden is an important leader in nursing education, research, and engaged civic learning in community service within southern New Jersey, the Delaware Valley, and beyond. We became the fourth designated school at Rutgers University-Camden in 2011, but our tradition of excellence in nursing education extends to 1972 when the Rutgers University-Camden Department of Nursing was first established. The Rutgers School of Nursing-Camden Center for Excellence in Inter-professional Practice, Education, and Innovation (
CEIPEI) provides opportunities for active learning, promotes interprofessional collaboration, and stimulates innovation in nursing education and practice. The
CEIPEI is accredited by the
Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). The Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program (
WOCNEP), a certificate within the School of Nursing's graduate program, is currently the only accredited graduate level
WOC program in the United States. Offered in both online and on-campus formats, the
WOCNEP recruits students from across the nation. Our
MSN in School Health is the first School Nurse Certificate Program based upon the National Association of School Nurses' (
NASN) Framework for the 21stCentury School Nursing Practice. |
Posting Summary |
The School of Nursing-Camden (
SNC) is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to serve as Program Coordinator II. This position provides critical program coordination and administrative support for both the RN to BS Program and the Center for Academic Resources, Engagement, and Services (
SNC-
CARES). The role is essential to supporting student enrollment, academic advisement, compliance tracking, and program development, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for students, faculty, and staff.
As the RN to BS Program Coordinator, the incumbent will work closely with the Program Director to support daily operations, including coordination and management of electronic spreadsheets, clinical documentation, and providing enrollment and registration assistance. This role includes supporting students by assisting with communication, student orientation, plan-of-study worksheets, academic advisement, and course registration, while also collecting and reporting enrollment and registration data to inform program planning and continuous improvement. The Program Coordinator will serve as a key resource for students, guiding them throughout their academic journey. Additionally, the role involves participation in recruitment and promotional events, collaboration with
SNC senior leadership and university departments, and support for new initiatives developed by the RN-BS Task Force aimed at enhancing student engagement, retention, and long-term program growth.
In support of
SNC-
CARES, the Program Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative assistance, managing communications, maintaining electronic and paper records, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies. The incumbent will oversee the School of Nursing's general email account, respond to inquiries, and troubleshoot communication issues. This role also includes managing lecturer compliance documentation, tracking credentialing requirements, organizing clinical assignment rosters, guiding applicants through the
ROCS workflow, monitoring I-9 processes, and facilitating accurate course entry into the Course Scheduling System (
CSS). Additional responsibilities include assisting with CastleBranch compliance tracking, supporting advisors in student compliance oversight, and ensuring national reporting standards and deadlines are met. The Program Coordinator will also handle onboarding processes, agency affiliation requests, and fit testing, while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
In a broader administrative capacity, the Program Coordinator will help maintain efficient workflow throughout the department. This includes providing support for platforms such as ExamSoft and
ATI, assisting students and faculty with troubleshooting, and contributing to a well-organized, collaborative, and student-focused environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities will be essential to the success of this role. |

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. They must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and be familiar with Adobe products, survey tools such as Qualtrics, the Canvas Learning Management System, Navigate, Microsoft Teams, and other educational technologies. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are essential, as is the capacity to manage student enrollment and provide effective academic advisement. The candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to prioritize tasks and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in administrative systems and a solid understanding of compliance management practices are also required to support the operational and regulatory needs of the department. |
Preferred Qualifications |
At least 2 years of relevant experience in administrative function, preferably in higher education that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, work organization, coordination, facilitation, data collection and report writing. |
