About the role

The Sr. Manager of Strategic Partnerships is a customer-first leader responsible for driving satisfaction, transparency, and operational excellence across the Environmental National Accounts Program - a portfolio of 30 strategic third-party waste management and broker customers, including the 10 Strategic Target accounts.

This individual serves as a key interface between the customer, commercial, and operational teams, ensuring that account performance is tracked, communicated, and continuously improved. The role includes direct ownership of customer performance reporting (internally and externally), Salesforce CRM management, market intelligence, and waste profiling coordination - working together with the Waste Approvals team to streamline onboarding and approvals for complex waste streams.

The pay range for this job location is: $155,000- $175,000

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Success & Strategic Account Performance

  • Support day-to-day success of 30 national broker and environmental accounts, with focused attention on 10 Strategic Target accounts prioritized for growth.
  • Deliver best-in-class business reviews and performance reporting, focused on service reliability, responsiveness, and demonstrated customer value.
  • Partner with National Account Director to create tailored engagement plans that align with customer-specific goals and operational capabilities.
  • Serve as a customer advocate, identifying service issues or gaps and driving internal accountability to resolve them quickly and transparently.

Waste Profiling & Approvals Coordination

  • Manage coordination between account teams and the Waste Approvals team, ensuring timely submission and processing of waste profiles.
  • Support customers in completing profile documentation and requirements, reducing friction and accelerating time to approval.
  • Conduct profile-level analysis to track turnaround times, identify bottlenecks, and improve the profiling experience for strategic customers.
  • Act as a central point of contact for internal teams regarding status updates, escalations, and approval follow-through.

CRM & Operational Enablement

  • Own and optimize Salesforce usage across National Accounts, ensuring accurate pipeline tracking, issue visibility, and reporting integrity.
  • Drive system adoption across sales and service teams, enabling better collaboration and customer insight sharing.
  • Leverage CRM data to support account planning, forecasting, and internal alignment.
  • Support onboarding of new accounts and service expansions with clean data and operational readiness.

Market & Customer Intelligence

  • Build and maintain a market intelligence capability to track competitor activity, industry trends, and pricing dynamics.
  • Use data to identify risks and opportunities at the customer and segment level, informing strategy and commercial decisions.
  • Translate customer feedback and performance data into actionable insights to improve service delivery and deepen relationships.
  • Help develop dashboards or reporting tools that provide leadership with visibility into customer health and engagement.

Cross-Functional Service Alignment

  • Work closely with commercial and operational teams across regions to resolve customer challenges, align on service expectations, and coordinate deal execution.
  • Partner with regional leaders to support pricing actions, operational throughput, and facility capacity planning for national accounts.
  • Lead or support rollout of new facilities, contracts, or services with a focus on continuity and proactive customer communication.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the customer journey are integrated and high performing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Operations, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer success, strategic account management, service operations, or environmental services.
  • Proven track record of leading customer-facing initiatives that improve retention, service performance, or customer lifetime value.
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM and data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with waste profiling, environmental compliance, or industrial services is a strong plus.

  • Analytical thinker capable of turning data into insight and action.
