Job Description

The Calibration Technician will be responsible for the calibration and tracking of EBAD's gages. The role is expected to spend 100% of a typical week supporting calibration, some time will be spent supporting the combined Material Control/Receiving Inspection/Calibration group.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibration on all gages that are calibrated internally.
  • Accurately record the results of those calibrations. Manage in flow of gages to and from external calibration sources.
  • Clean, repair and calibrate using standards with have an unbroken chain of traceability to nationally accepted standards and a total summation of accuracy uncertainty with is in accordance with company and customer specifications.
  • Develop new calibration procedures and revised existing procedures as needed.
  • Communicate the status of gages that require calibration.
  • Maintain accurate, neat and complete calibration records
  • Keep work area organized and clean and follow all established safety guidelines
  • Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals
  • Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have graduated from High School or equivalent G.E.D. and3+ years of experience with inspection of mechanical components in an aerospace or defense related company or related field.

Additional Required experience includes:

  • Capable of utilizing all standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers and drop indicators.
  • Must be familiar with ISO/AS Quality System requirements.
  • Must be able to read and interpret Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T) or to learn GD&T.
  • Must be able to read and understand military specifications and industry standards.
  • Must be able to read and understand English.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management.
  • Must have basic PC fundamentals, knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.

Desired skills:

Six Sigma Green Belt through ASQ. Experience working directly with internal/external customers and suppliers.
