Short Description

- Schedules inpatient/outpatient surgical procedures.
- Coordinates with surgeons, nurses, and clinical staff.
- Provides patients with test results and detailed prep/rescheduling instructions.
- Ensures accurate insurance coverage and pre-registration.
- Escalates operational/provider issues to leadership.


Experience Required

  • High - directly tied to surgical and procedural workflows, requiring knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and test result communication.
  • In-depth, often involving sensitive conversations (results, cancellations, surgical prep, financial coverage).
  • Advanced scheduling proficiency (hospital systems, surgical templates).
  • Strong insurance/billing knowledge.
  • Professional communication under pressure.
  • Directly ensures patients are ready and cleared for surgical procedures, impacting clinical outcomes and efficiency of surgical services.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Special Requirements

  • 2-3 years in a medical or office setting
  • Outstanding organizational skills, typing 35-45 WPM
Hourly Rate Min $21
Hourly Rate Max $34
