As a Productization Intern, you will help take earlystage prototypes or designs and help bring them closer to production readiness. This may involve refining features, scaling for manufacturability or deployment, ensuring reliability, collaborating across engineering, product management, quality assurance, operations, and more. You'll learn about Ericsson's productization processes and contribute to making innovations that are reliable, manufacturable, scalable, and aligned with customer and business needs
What you will do:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (engineering, hardware/software, test & validation, product, operations) to define product requirements and refinement from prototype to production.
- Assist in product testing, validation, and feedback loops: identify reliability, performance, usability issues and work to resolve or escalate them.
- Help document product specifications, technical requirements, and build guides/process flows for manufacturing or deployment.
- Support process improvement: suggest or implement optimizations in the productization workflow.
- Participate in risk assessments: material, regulatory, manufacturability, supply chain, etc.
- Work on small design adjustments, tooling, or integration tasks under guidance.
- Present findings, status updates, and improvement proposals to internal stakeholders
The skills you bring:
- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, Master's, or PhD on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internship.
- Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer or Co-Op term
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, etc.)
- Good understanding of telecommunications fundamentals: wireless protocols (LTE, 5G / 6G), RF basics, signal processing, network architecture (core, RAN, edge)
- Good problemsolving skills, analytical mindset, attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively; strong verbal and written communication.
- Comfortable learning new tools, working in lab / test environments.
