We are currently building the next generation of laptop and tablet devices, and Surface needs you!We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience leading teams through system architecture and design in a fast-paced, product development environment. The position requires a mix of technical breadth and design experience to integrate mechanical and electrical subsystems into compelling system designs and customer experiences. ResponsibilitiesYou will lead mechanical design activities during product development. This will include system layout, mechanical design, and evaluation of feature and cost trade-offs.You will oversee and coordinate the work of partner engineers and overseas engineering teams to ensure the right rate of progress and engineering quality are being achieved.You will facilitate stakeholder discussions to ensure cross-discipline collaboration, and to identify and resolve conflicting engineering needs.You will identify the most significant program risks, develop the necessary mitigation plans, and communicate team progress through regular reports and reviews. | |
