Summary:
 Supports the development and delivery of college access and post-secondary advising services for high school students participating in Youth Programs. Plays a central role in preparing students, many of whom are first-generation and from underrepresented communities, to explore, plan for, and pursue higher education and career pathways. Provides individualized and group-based college advising, facilitates workshops, and fosters strong relationships with students, families, schools, and post-secondary institutions. Requires knowledge of college access processes, strong facilitation and interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to educational and youth development. Reports to the Senior Program Manager, Summer and Alumni Program, and works closely with other Youth Program staff and partners to ensure a high-quality experience for all participants. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Provide one-on-one advising to students in their junior and senior years focused on post-secondary planning, college applications, and financial aid. -Develop and lead workshops on topics such as the college application process, essay writing, college fit, scholarships, and navigating financial aid. -Coordinate college exposure opportunities, including campus visits, college fairs, information sessions, and alumni panels. -Engage families and caregivers in the college planning process through information sessions and one-on-one communication. -Track and monitor student progress to ensure advising goals are met and provide additional support when needed. -Build and maintain relationships with local colleges, high schools, and college access organizations to support student success and achievement. -Collaborate with other Youth Program staff to integrate college readiness into broader programmatic offerings. -Support recruitment, onboarding, and advising for both academic year and summer cohorts. -Contribute to program planning, continuous improvement efforts, and outcome reporting. -Participate in evening and weekend events and activities as needed.
