Bank Asset Management Distribution Leader

The Bank Asset Management Distribution Leader within SEI's Asset Management unit is responsible for leading and managing the investment sales team, developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role drives revenue and asset growth by building and maintaining strong client relationships, fostering team development, and collaborating across departments to enhance customer experience and sales performance. Additionally, the role expands the institutional client base and assets under management by leading national, regional, local and community bank trust and wealth partnerships and transforming traditional trust departments into integrated wealth management businesses. Individual will work closely with the leaders of the bank technology, custody, and business processing leadership, strategy, and sales teams.

What you will do:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop cross functional teams to deliver innovative investment solutions, for both individual solutions and model portfolios, to bank trust and bank wealth businesses that are regulated by either a trust charter (OCC), FINRA, or SEC bodies .
  • Build and develop cross-functional teams to deliver investment solutions and support transformation of traditional trust departments into integrated wealth management businesses, and align the needs of bank "agency", "RIA", or "broker dealer" driven wealth businesses with the investment capabilities of SEI.
  • Set sales targets and drive team performance to achieve `defined goals.
  • Focus on talent development, including conducting performance reviews and supporting career growth, with an acute focus on performance management towards achieving both net new business and net new fee revenue growth.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive investment product sales.
  • Focus on new business acquisition, client retention, and growth of new production.
  • Drive consistent net new asset sales growth, integrate customized investment solutions and deepen fiduciary partnerships across diverse client segments.

Business and Market Development:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities and trends.
  • Support business expansion and development of new client relationships.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with FINRA, SEC, state, and company policies and regulations.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement:

  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting frameworks to monitor sales performance.
  • Review and refine sales processes to increase efficiency and maximize the customer experience.
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance to senior leadership.
What we need from you:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Advanced certifications such as CFA or CFP is preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail banking, investment management, and sales, with preference for candidates with 15+ years in wealth and asset management.
  • Experience in selling investment products to banks and specific products preferred by different bank types, both home offices and branch advisors.
  • Proven leadership in selling into multi-billion-dollar portfolios and diverse client bases.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, investment vehicles, and regulatory environments
  • Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing sales teams.

The base salary pay for this role is estimated to be $250,000 - $350,000 per year, and may be based on location of the hire. This position will also be eligible to earn a discretionary bonus each year, subject to company approval.
