Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
CNNC advances the capacity of immigrants and refugees by building bridges between immigrant populations and existing communities throughout NC via community-based outreach and advocacy, educational programming, research and evaluation, immigrant and refugee leadership development, cultural brokering, and educational opportunities for faculty and students.
Position Summary
Oversee service coordination and evaluation of CNNC Community Enrichment Center Community Center initiative. Assist in the management of the AmeriCorps project. Provide supervision of selected AmeriCorps members at CNNC Community Enrichment Center. Work with program directors and staff to develop an integrated services program. Seek and apply for external funding to assist with community center support. This position will also provide interpretation to community partners through the Immigrant Access Program.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a social science field or a Bachelor's degree with two years' experience working with at-risk and immigrant communities.
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English and have extensive knowledge and experience working with NC Immigrant communities.
  • Must have training in Cross-Cultural Human Services or comparable training and have a knowledge of the North Carolina human service systems.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to be trained in driving a 15-passenger van.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Be proficient in both English and a language commonly spoken by the population the CNNC serves.
