Security Officer - Tech/Media Patrol

As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Patrol in Ashland, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and media environment, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and maintaining a strong, visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication while responding to security-related needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity or access.
• Monitor the location for unusual behavior or conditions and report findings according to established protocols.
• Interact with employees, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner while upholding security-related standards.
• Assist with access control measures, including verifying identification and granting entry as directed by site policies.
• Support Allied Universal and client management by documenting incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
