JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager (Strategic Vendor Governance) for a 2-3M+ contract (w/ likely extensions) that is 100% remote. The Senior Project Manager will support a newly formed IT VMO by driving project coordination, data governance, and administrative facilitation for strategic vendor programs, with a primary focus on Microsoft and secondary support to re-engage ServiceNow. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with Senior VPs in technology, pivot on shifting priorities, and contribute to standardizing best practices and processes within the VMO.
  • Coordinate and facilitate bi-weekly status updates across four service area towers / business units, consolidating data inputs, tracking progress, and maintaining consistent communication with Senior Vice Presidents within the technology organization.
  • Collect and organize vendor performance data to support pre-defined health checks and scorecards (criteria set by VMO / service area leads), ensuring accurate, timely submissions and visibility to leadership.
  • Maintain centralized documentation and project artifacts within MS Teams and manage follow-ups, next steps, and risk tracking to sustain structured reporting cadence.
  • Provide administrative and organizational support to maintain alignment and accountability for Microsoft partnership initiatives and track deliverables, meeting schedules, and upcoming milestones.
  • Facilitate ITVMO re-engagement efforts with ServiceNow post-Microsoft stabilization and assist in process definition, documentation, and operational consistency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with ERP, infrastructure, and application leads to ensure cohesive communication across vendor portfolios and business units.
  • Develop and refine ITVMO best practices, templates, and coordination processes to improve vendor governance efficiency and transparency.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between ITVMO leadership and internal stakeholders and proactively anticipate next actions, summarize key items, and maintain meeting momentum.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities, meeting delays, and evolving focus areas and maintain professional presence, reliability, and steady communication cadence under shifting circumstances.

About the Project: The primary focus of this Senior Project Manager is in execution, facilitation, and alignment and NOT in performing vendor management (cost optimization / rate card analysis / scorecard design). The Senior Project Manager will coordinate bi-weekly status updates from four service area towers, collecting templated inputs for predefined health checks and scorecards, chasing missing deliverables, documenting next steps / risks, and providing proactive summaries to VMO leadership.
