The Walmart Sr. Sales Analyst will play a key position in our strategic partnership with Walmart and Ghirardelli and play a key role in executing our Ghirardelli Gameplan. They will be the subject matter expert in analysis & reporting on our business to include but not limited to: POS Sales, Inventory, Market Share, Forecasting, Trade Management, Online Item Content, etc.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Support achievement of key business objectives through:
  • Managing Sales budget and share targets.
  • Merchandising, assortment, pricing and shelving (MAPS) objectives with Walmart.
  • Leveraging insights to support key business objectives.
  • Analytics
  • Assess trends, analyze data and identify key Walmart & Sam's Club opportunities for growth.
  • Manage weekly and monthly reporting
  • Utilize internal sales data, syndicated data and customer-specific POS data to develop actionable insights, strategies and tactics.
  • Provide modular tracking and analysis
  • Analyze, track and monitor business results (sales, share, retail impact, etc.) versus objectives using designated tools (Walmart Scintilla, IRI, SAP systems)
  • Promotional analysis.
  • Participate in customer meetings
  • Provide analytical support for accurate demand consensus forecasting.
  • Actively communicate project status, competitive activity and other business-critical information both internally and externally as needed.
  • Work with internal replenishment partners on tracking and forecast for McLane/CM.
  • Manage Walmart Item 360 Updates
  • Assist with meeting set ups, samples, etc.
  • Completing other duties as assigned

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, respond with urgency to requests and remain focused on strategic imperatives.
  • Proficiency in all sales technology and customer-specific business applications. (IRI/AC Nielsen, MS Office, Walmart Scintilla, etc.)



Education and Work Experience



  • Undergraduate 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Consumer products sales/marketing/category management experience, preferably with Walmart; confectionery industry experience is desirable.


Other Job Requirements



  • Ability to travel to various locations locally and across the country to attend meetings 5% of the time
  • Spends 65% of time at desk working at computer or phone.
  • Spends 20% of time interacting with key customers for purpose of influencing business results.
  • Spends 15% of time observing conditions in retail outlets, attending off-site sales meetings and performing other miscellaneous activities.
  • Ability to work and be productive in an office environment with noise
  • Work out of Rogers, AR office
  • Occasional to constant repetitive fine manipulation (keyboarding, writing)
  • Rare to occasional ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Occasional to frequent usage of verbal communication equipment (phone, radio, cellular)
