Responsibilities:



  • Establish design criteria, prepare engineering specifications, design calculations, material take offs (MTO) in accordance with project requirements
  • Assist in resolving complex problems requiring a comprehensive and detailed analysis and multi-disciplinary understanding
  • Should understand Geotech reports, and design foundation based on Geotech reports recommendations
  • Provide mentoring and peer review to the junior members of the team
  • Conduct on-site inspections as required
  • Prepare detailed civil and structural designs, which include concrete foundations, piling, steel structures etc.
  • Prepare documentation for engineering hours budgets, schedules, work plans, tender documents, technical reports, project calculations etc.
  • You'll assign, give instructions and provide directions to technical support staff
  • You'll establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and team members
  • You'll ensure the Quality Assurance, consistency, and integrity of the electronic handover of deliverables
  • You'll be responsible for reviewing and stamping drawings (as required); using experience in interpreting design codes and regulatory requirements
  • You'll communicate with internal peers and project team and may be required to answer questions regarding deliverables.



Candidate Specifications:



  • A university degree in structural engineering
  • Professional Engineer license (P.E.) required
  • 10+ years and over experience in the engineering of civil structural designs in energy industry
  • Experience with facility design, dynamic foundations, substation, switchyard and transmission line foundation design and structure engineering
  • Working knowledge of software's like SAP2000, RISA3D, All Pile, LPile and MFAD, Bluebeam Revu, MS office, Navis Works
  • Good report writing skills
  • Familiarity with relevant design codes for Concrete and Steel Structures, and current Industrial standards
  • A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid organization and time management skills
