Lab Assistant (PT)

The Lab assistant will work in the Fabrication Laboratory at Northeast campus. Assisting students, faculty, and the fab lab manager in various duties. The lab assistant will be responsible for ensuring safe practices are performed with utilizing equipment. Duties can range from assisting with the following machines: 3D printers, Laser etchers/engravers/cutters, Vinyl cutters, Soldering, Sublimations, Embroidery, Heat Press, Lathe, Mill, CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, Horizontal Band Saw, Vertical Band Saw, Belt Sander, Grinders, Mig Welding, Tig Welding, and more. Ideally the Lab Assistant will help to create a lab that is available later to meet our unique student hour demands.

Experience with desktop computers including e-mail, word processing. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is desirable.

Ability to organize daily work procedures and perform duties under one's own initiative.

Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with others.

Knowledge on multiple of the above mentioned equipment/machines.

Working well alone and with others.

OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
