Your role

As a Inspection and Test Plan Quality Engineer, your mission is to ensure the successful execution of the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for Atlas Copco. Serve as a subject matter expert to help develop and manage the completion of the ITP for all gas compressor equipment designed in Vorheesville, NY. This includes detailed cutomer spec review and firm understanding of quality records, inspection checks, and non-destructive testing that will serve as evidence of acceptance to the test plan. Working closely with all departments and our customers to ensure that critical quality requirements and processes are adequately identified, documented, and communicated to Comptec and end user personnel. Act as a change agent to the business, driving continuous improvement of our quality policies, procedures, and outputs.


You will



  • Ensure accuracy and relevance of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) bu collaborating with Applicaitons Engineering to align plans with specific job requirements.
  • Oversee the fulfillment of ITP requirements throughout the manufacturing process and supply chain, working closely with the Supplier Quality Engineer and production teams.
  • Verify that all customer specifications are met and that the components meet quality stands through inspections, documentation review, and non-destructive testing.
  • Support custom-engineered project by partnering with stakeholder to develop tailored ITPs that reflect the unique requirements of each job.
  • Coordinate resolution of complex quality problems to minimize the impacts on customers and costs.
  • Facilitate improvements to manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with our ITP and customer requirements.

  • Self-directed team player with excellent organization skills, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • You have 10+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer and BS or advanced engineering degree.
  • Experience inlarge industrial equipment manufacturing with rotational equipment experience preferred.
  • Experience in creating or reviewing Quality Test Plans to satisy customer specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME B31.1&3, API 617, CRN, AS,E/PED Pressure Vessel code, etc.
  • Flexible to changing priorities and assignments.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles managing nonconformances.

  • Competitive pay: Base salary ranges from $95,000 to $126,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally you will be entitled to an annual bonus.
