| Position Summary |
This position is responsible for driving hotel room sales and managing the full lifecycle of sales and event execution at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel. With primary focus on account management, proactive prospecting, lead generation, and seamless coordination, the Hotel Sales Professional cultivates new revenue opportunities, maximizes existing relationships, and enhances the Georgia Center's market presence. This role requires strong expertise in sales and customer service, overseeing every stage of the lifecycle from prospecting and proposal development to execution and post-event follow-up. The position will work closely with both sales and hotel operations teams to ensure consistency, quality, and exceptional guest satisfaction. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Experience in program coordination and event execution.
- Strong communication skills including both oral (in person and phone) and written, and public presentations.
- Possess organizational and time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while documenting client communication.
- Ability to successfully meet the public and create a favorable impression of the Georgia Center; excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, with initiative, within departmental guidelines.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic and support a positive work environment.
- Proficient in use of Windows Office Suite; internet research skills needed.
- Ability to review basic financial reports, invoices, bills and statements to help determine appropriate space holds and deposit requirements.

- Develop sales strategies and actively develop relationships with prospective clients through identification, prospecting, phone calls, visits, and other contacts, thus developing new business opportunities for the Georgia Center.
- Occasionally, provide phone coverage during the primary answerers' absences.
- Represent the Georgia Center during sales blitzes and local shows as we prospect for opportunities to increase our hotel sales business. Prospect on campus clients through sales visits and one-on-one meetings.

- Research on-going Campus prospecting and pre-qualification projects. Work includes data entry and researching market trends. Create client records, utilizing the Georgia Center's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System, Property Management System (PMS), and Facility Management Systems.
- Sell meeting space and services by managing accounts, conducting site inspections, and soliciting/generating business.
