What You'll Do

The Specialist, DataEngineeringwill support and expand the data platforms that process, store, organizethe data critical for the Data and Analytics team. This role willparticipatein the technical strategy and execution to provide trusted, stable, reliable, responsive, and secure solutions and proactively inform business partners on Data & Analytics platform and product health, and problem resolution. The Specialist, DataEngineeringwill work collaboratively with our Data Systems Analysts as well as our Analytics and Technology partners to solve business problems and deliver solutions.

Position Description

  • Design and develop solutions and commissions of complex data across systems for McKesson/CoverMyMedsinternal and external customers.

  • Develop Data Ingestion and Integrationpipelinesfrom various sources to Data Warehouse

  • Work with databases,filesand unstructured data toidentify, transport and quality test the datarequiredto drive our data synchronization tasks to performregularand incremental loads of data.

  • Write program/code in SQL and / orcloud basedtools such asSnowflakeor Databricksto cleanse, apply business logic and standardize the data according to business rules, enabling more effective data governance along with clear and efficient end-user reporting.

  • Design conceptual data model based on business reporting requirements, interacting with business partners to understand the business logic and end-use of the data.

  • Work with the application development teams todeterminedata flow in the source system andarchitectan appropriate flowinto the data warehouse.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in.Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Critical Skills

  • 4+ years oftechnical andprofessional experience as a data engineer

  • Strong (4+ years'), hands-on experience as a technologist working with data warehouse solutions, cloud technology, relationaldatabasesand dashboarding tools such as Databricks, Oracle, MySQL, Qlik, Tableau, SQL Server, etc.

  • 4 years' experience working with structured and unstructureddata andwithin batch and real-time data streamingenvironments.

  • Experience supportingReporting and Analytics,Real timeAnalytics, Systems Integration, and Data Governance.

  • Demonstratedexpertiseindatabase design and modeling.

  • Expert knowledge ofclouddatatechnologies (MS Azure)

  • Experience with business-critical applications.

  • Experienceonlarge-scale implementation programs.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;timelycommunication with clear expectations. An active listener and clearcommunicator;can lead byinfluence.

  • Ability to find creative solutions to complexproblems.

  • Exhibita strong senseof urgency and ownership for task/project completion.

  • Highly adept at working collaboratively across multiple business and technical functions to achieveresults.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$105,500 - $175,900
