Quality Analytical Technician

As the Quality Analytical Technician, you will perform different scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods and ensure compliance with established standards.

You will be onsite at PPG's Cleveland, OH plant, and report to the Supplier Development and Raw Materials Manager. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay. Paid training is provided!

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-coming raw materials testing, ensuring conformance to required specifications.
• Record test results on batch tickets and on our computer operating system.
• Organize and maintain quality records and retains of production/intermediate batches and raw material champions
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of tests
• Set up, adjust, verify, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments
• Maintain housekeeping of the working place
• Respect Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Policy

Qualifications:

• Two-year technical degree preferred (Quality, Engineering, or other sciences) OR three or more years of related experience and/or training
• Two years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Six Sigma Yellow belt preferred
