| Position Summary |
Provides a variety of undergraduate academic and career advising services that strengthen the professional environment within the Warnell School. Coordinates
UGA and professional student orientation and exit interviews. Assists periodically with recruitment and outreach functions, as well as with the graduation ceremonies. Supervises student worker. |

- Knowledge of UGA's General Education Core Curriculum and Warnell's curricular requirements.
- Be very familiar with standard word processing and email software.
- Be able to advise students about formatting resumes, developing professional skills, gaining professional experiences, and job searches.
- Be able to give constructive criticism and enforce high expectations for student performance.
- Be highly organized, an effective oral communicator, and responsive to frequent requests for assistance on short notice.
- An occasional ability to travel, sometimes overnight.

Academic Advising:
- Provide comprehensive advising to all pre-professional students, guiding academic planning, career exploration, and professional development.
- Support admissions efforts for professional programs by advising prospective students, interpreting program requirements, and facilitating informed decision-making.
- Conduct individualized advising sessions that integrate students' academic progress, interests, and long-term goals to develop tailored educational plans.
- Facilitate orientation advising for incoming UGA students, ensuring a smooth transition through proactive guidance and resource navigation.
- Engage current UGA students interested in the Warnell School, offering strategic counsel on program fit, prerequisites, and application pathways.
- Clear student registrations in alignment with academic policies and program requirements, ensuring timely progression toward degree completion.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of advising interactions, registration approvals, and student communications in compliance with institutional standards.
- Utilize student feedback and outcome data to continuously improve their advising practices, resources, and student engagement strategies.
- Identify enhancements to advising tools, workflows, and communication strategies to support student development and institutional goals.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to align advising practices with curricular changes, accreditation standards, and student success metrics.
