We are seeking a full-time clinical psychologist to join our Anxiety and Mood Disorder Service at our One Park Ave location. The Anxiety and Mood Disorder Service includes specialty programs in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A), Tics, Tourette's, and Trichotillomania (T3 program), and intensive treatments for anxiety disorders. This role requires proficiency in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), parent management training, and diagnostic evaluation of anxiety, mood, and related disorders. The position carries an academic appointment within the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, which is one of only two independent child and adolescent psychiatry departments within an academic medical center in the nation. Ideal candidates are energetic clinicians with a commitment to clinical and academic excellence and an aptitude and enthusiasm for outpatient practice. For the current position, it is required that applicants be well-versed in DBT for adolescents and willing to be an active member of our fully adherent DBT-A program. We define being an active member of team as carrying 5-7 individual DBT cases on their caseload, attending weekly DBT team meeting, being available to DBT cases off-hours for crisis management, and providing DBT-specific supervision for trainees (e.g., psychology or social work interns). An ideal candidate will be able to contribute to the continued growth of the Anxiety and Mood Disorders service through both supporting existing programming and introducing new or innovative approaches to treating anxiety, mood, and related disorders in youth. Our client population spans the full pediatric age range; therefore, comfort in working with children as young as five, as well as teens and young adults, is essential. Work Schedule The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry supports a hybrid work arrangement. This position includes dedicated onsite space at our Manhattan office, with a structured onsite/remote schedule determined by clinical needs and space availability. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The annual salary range for a full-time junior faculty role is $114,420 to $116,792. Candidates who qualify for higher faculty appointments are also encouraged to apply. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including faculty appointment, credentials, research history, specialty, and health system need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. In addition to the annual salary listed, psychologists are typically eligible for supplemental compensation ranging from $31,300 to $80,000 in the first year of practice.
